Eighth-rankedAhuachapan (2-13) gave a tough game to fifth ranked Salvadorenos (10-5) in San Salvador on Sunday. Salvadorenos managed to secure only two-point victory 77-75 . However their fans expected easier game. Salvadorenos forced 22 Ahuachapan turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Diego Rivera (175-2007) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 7 rebounds. point guard Erick Rodriguez (179-2006) helped adding 17 points and 10 assists. Four Salvadorenos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American-Laos guard Kadeim Jones (191-1999, college: UWG) with 37 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds and Paul Castro produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Salvadorenos moved-up to fourth place. Ahuachapan at the other side keeps the eighth position with 13 games lost. They share it with Santiagueno.
